Background
Born in Bangladesh, I immigrated to the United States as a teenager. The loss of my childhood home and the safety of a familiar world became a powerful motivation in my personal and professional development.
I am Program Supervisor of behavioral health services at Curry Senior Center in San Francisco. I co-chair the Community Membership and serve on the Board of Trustees at the San Francisco Center for Psychoanalysis. Additionally, I am a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists. I hold a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology (2003) and a master’s degree in Philosophy and Religion (2001) from the California Institute of Integral Studies. I am currently completing the first year of a two year psychotherapy training program at the San Francisco Center for Psychoanalysis.
My psychotherapy practice is located on Fillmore street in San Francisco where I work with individuals and couples from around the SF Bay Area. Contact me for a free 15 minute phone consultation to learn more about how I can help you.
